Phone camera snapshots, Aug 2012

Just after my camera was stolen last month, I actually got a magazine assignment to make a portrait of a couple in eastern Indonesia. But because I don’t have a camera anymore, I planned to do it by borrowing a friend’s camera and another friend’s lens. Then I bought air tickets to go to the location and back to Yogyakarta.

Two days before my departure, the assignment had to be called off because the couple suddenly became unavailable. I immediately returned the borrowed camera and lens, but went anyway—though only half-way, not all the way to the originally designated location—since the tickets were already in my hands. Sort of taking a weird, short holiday after losing a camera and an assignment.

Anyway, here are some snapshots from my break last month. I took these photographs using my phone’s built-in 3.2 megapixel camera.
